PAINTING IS THE HEART OF MY LIFE EXPRESSION.
My name is Claire McElveen, and I come from a family of artists and gallery owners. I have a background in classical art, and now, I find that l am constantly evolving with the creative process and have developed my own unique style over 25 years. I love exploring the different facets of color, the unpredictability of oil painting and the way a painting can evolve so beautifully. I also love to layer my paints; I find that this gives my paintings warmth, texture, and an ever-changing look in different lighting. I draw my inspiration from the natural world, because I live with my family in the rural Southeastern United States and am blessed with idyllic, panoramic surroundings. My art is how I express my soul. Welcome to my world.
